[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The basalt formations surrounding and on Horsethief Butte are beautiful as the columns are tightly layered where one may find many shapes and colors to photograph. The wind yesterday was quite strong, so another day I will wait to climb up onto Horsethief Butte. Yesterday I toured the Petroglyph and Pictograph trail at Columbia Hills State Park where tomorrows image was taken of "She Who Watches," the most reknown of North American Petroglyphs, though she is both, a pictograph and petroglyph.

Hello Steven,
A very picturesque view of Horsethief Butte. This reminds me of some of the areas we have visited while in the western states.
Nicely composed using the rule of thirds and displaying beautiful rich colors. Wonderful DOF as entire frame is in sharp focus. The moving water in the foreground is definitely an added bonus to this lovely scene.

Hello Steven,

A nice presentation of this geological sight. Even layers are well visible. Natural color too,
Thanks for showing this Basalt formation,
