A female Forest Red-Tailed Black Cockatoo (Calyptorhynchus banksii naso), digging into the seed pod of a Sheoak tree (Allocasuarina fraseriana) to get at the small seeds.
The yellow spots on the head and body are characteristics of the female of that large and impressive bird species.
Note the very large beak, erectible crest and how she delicately holds the seed pod with her four-toed foot.

Beautiful photo of this Red-tailed Black Cockatoo. I've seen photos of this species in flight with its splendid red tail glittering in the sun, gorgeous.
But this picture is nice too. Good sharpness and natural colours.

A great shot of one of these amazingly large, powerful and noisy birds. You managed to get it in bright light so we see the coloration of the feathers extremely well.
