This is a rather common hemicryptophyte of the dressert and desert edge in Israel. The flowers are quite showy, about 2 cm in diameter. Those of higher elevations in the Negev bloom in white to deep red. In other areas the flowers are pink, as here. The WS shows the entire plant. |

Hello Ishi,
Lovely bloom showing exceptional detail and rich natural colors. The bright yellow filament and anther in contrast to the deep pink petals are very beautiful. Exposure is perfect.
