I don't remember having seen this bird on TN, Luciano.
Good capture of it while it forages on the ground.
The colours on it are unique and interesting.

Beautiful photo of this Red-cheeked Gordon-bleu. Excellent sharpness and details and beautiful natural colors. Your POV was a bit high, but the background is nice.
Enjoy the weekend,

This is a new bird for me and beautifully marked at that. I really like it's contrasting brown and pale blue colors as well as the bright red cheek patch. Wonderful detail can be seen and the exposure is great.
I captured Cordon-Bleu in KNP but not Red-cheeked. The color of this bird looks natural and perfect.
It's just a SNAPSHOT to me. To capture PHOTOGRAPH we use CAMERA+BRAIN. Definitely, I'm not your such good friend who will applaud watching this IMAGE. Forging birds POV won't be like that. Those who don't have much knowledge in PHOTOGRAPHY will tell you it's a NICE PHOTOGRAPH. I'm not such MEMBER who comment on your Photographs just to PLEASE you. Moreover you lost details on the back (Brown color) of the bird due to PP work. In your original photograph you could see much details. If you don't like my comment and if you feel I AM YOUR ENEMY, just tell me "Srikumar, don't comment on my pictures" (smile), I'll UNDERSTAND.
Thanks for showing such Red-cheeked species,
Regards and have a nice WE,

I think that photography live animals is also needed luck.
At holiday time flies inexorably and sometimes really i do not have have no luck to get my object posed as I wished. And I'm grateful for every shot. This is a response to the comment from Srikumar.
I like it,i can see that in Senegal is much what to shoot. T. N. not just for professional photographers.
Have a good weekend

lively capture of a rare encounter, showing good details under rather difficult strong and flat light conditions.
A documentation well worth to be shared.
Thank you! With best regards,

Nice capture. Very good focus and details from 10 m range....It is amazing....My Nikon 300mm+1,4TC lens works no better on my D810. It is a interesting specie which I never seen on TN.
Thanks for sharing....

L'oiseau est bien placé dans le cadrage. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails du Cordonbleu à joues rouges. La bonne luminosité fait ressortir la beauté des couleurs. Bonne journée.
