On a dead tree in the garden after a lot of rain. The view is looking slightly upwards. As the fungus ages it becomes more bell-shaped and a tan colour.
The workshop has a view of the larger group showing older specimens next to these. |

Beautiful colored fungi; looks like "Ear". Quite well details but natural color.

Hello Geoffrey,
A wonderful macro shot of these cup shaped fungi. I like the warm light and very low POV you chose. The caps are sharply focused, but the inside appears slightly soft. Attractive vertical Composition.
It has been an extremely dry summer so no mushrooms as of yet here in Ohio.
