[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I spent about two hours trying to photograph butterflies in a small field while in Nicaragua. There were a number of flowering plants growing throughout the area and the butterflies were out in full force.

It was a bit of a challenge as it was quite windy and the sun was very bright most of the time. A few scattered clouds would give me some decent lighting for a few minutes and then the sun would eventually pop out in vengeance.

This pretty White Peacock was a brand new species for me. I was therefore thrilled to have the opportunity to photograph it.

Incredible capture, Ron! The 3 dimensional impression comes through strongly in this first rate professional image.
The species is new for all of us here on TN, I'm sure. It is a beautiful species. Perched on lantana flower, it makes a beautiful composition.

Hi Ron,good capture of this white peacock, Anartia jatrophae,that i seen many times in Brazil and Cuba as you can see in my gallery if you want...it's a pity that the right wings is blurred on the top,but i like the 3D effect and the excellent exposure too.
