I shot this Grey Bush Chat at my native place in Chamba, Himachal Pradesh, last year. The picture was taken at a time of the day when the summer sun was just overhead at about 11.30 in the morning.

The grey bush chat (Saxicola ferreus) is a species of passerine bird in the family Muscicapidae. It is found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Japan, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Its natural habitats are sub-tropical or tropical moist lowland forests and sub-tropical or tropical moist montane forests.

Hello Ram,
Nice photo of this Bush Chat. Attractive frontal pose with eye contact. Beautiful natural colors in not the best sharpness. Nice classic composition.

Hello Ram,
nice to have you in my sight,
Splendid image and beautiful bird, the background just helps the bird to stand even more.

Hello Ram,
Perhaps a little soft on focus, but still a presentable image. You did well on the exposure, especially considering the full sun was directly overhead. Great eye contact with a tad bit of catchlight and a nice clean BG. It has a very proud looking upright pose.

Hello Ram,
A wonderful image with a nice specie. I never meet it....In my region migrates only Saxicola torquata and Saxicola rubetra....
Nice details and focus.

Hi Ram,

The bird is well placed in the frame. The point of view is showing the details of the Grey Bush Chat. The good luminosity is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.
