[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have captured this 'Greater Flamingo' at Rondebult Bird Sanctuary at Germiston. Not far from our home; approximately 20 minutes drive. It's still not summer but found a few new species which I haven't posted yet here in TN.

I took this picture from hide. There were so many birds there but I wanted just one in my frame along with its natural habitat. Although I have captured their group photo too; I will post later.

Hello Srikumar,
I have never seen a flamingo of any type in the wild so this would be a real thrill for me. A very heavy looking bird with a rather stout looking bill. I like its color with hues of pinkish red running throughout its plumage. The lighting is very beautiful adding a peaceful mood to the image. Lovely composition while displaying excellent detail.

Ciao Srikumar, fantastic capture, fascinating reflections, wonderful colors, splendid sharpness and fine details, very well done, my friend, bravo, ciao Silvio

Hello Srikumar,
Thanks for visiting my gallery and for your kind comments. Another interesting image with excellent clarity and sharp details. The photographers note are interesting. I like the natural colors.
Indeed prime lenses are the best choice for details.....I had once the Sigma 150-500 mm,(not pleased at all) but my Nikon 300 mm + 1,4 TC is much better....I will use only prime lenses....despite the high prices.....I will save money only for those purposes....
Thanks for sharing!
Marius.

Hello Srikumar,
Very nice warm color click, beautiful colors and composition, well done and TFS,

Hi Srikumar,

The reflection on the water are assets to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the Greater Flamingo. The good luminosity is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.
