|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|I have captured this picture of 'Red-Eyed Dove' (Streptopelia semitorquata) at Marievale Bird Sanctuary. Light was falling on bird just from left side and it was harsh although it was GOLDEN HOUR. I captured a few shot when bird was facing towards me and I noticed a few parts details are not satisfactory. So I waited when bird would look towards me over its shoulder. |
The Red Eyed Dove is a widespread resident breeding in Africa south of Sahara.
* Length - 30cm
* Back, Wing and tail colour - Pale brown
* There is a black hind neck patch edged with white
* The legs and a patch of bare skin around the eye are red.

Awesome image of this beautiful Red-eyed Dove. I have always liked this POV when possible, it gives you a great look at it back, tail, wing and facial features. Excellent sharpness revealing wonderful detail and just the right amount of exposure. The colorful blurred BG enhances the attractiveness of the subject. Great job!!
