Flesh Fly

[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Noticed this Flesh Fly browsing around the bird feed pan on the terrace parapet today afternoon. Since there is nothing to shoot now because of cold weather, tried to make a macro of its eyes. The place was in shade, so used fill flash. Not a good shot. Got some noise in the BG. Used NeatImage filter to remove it.
The black stuff it is trying to feed on is bird crap, apparently.

Hi Ram,
it's nice to see you still are active after all these years.
This is a real close-up of the head of flesh fly-
Well detailed , we can see the cells in the eyes and even the long tongue. Not an easy shot.
Maybe a bit dark but it's ok.
Well done, mf.
Regards
Gert

Hi Ram
Wow. What a macro? The eyes are sharp and brilliant. Must have been a very difficult shot. But well executed.

Hello Ram,
Wonderful macro in amazing sharpness and details. Beautiful natural colors with the best frontal POV and the focus on the eyes.

Hello Ram,
This is probably the best super macro shot I've seen of a flies head here on TN. Those amazing eyes and the tongue are simply incredible to look at. How in the world did you manage to get so close without scaring it off? Great shot!!
