Hyphaene thebaica is a unique palm, its trunk is split. It is mainly an east African species, reaching its northern border in southern Israel, where it is known only in 2 sites.

Hello Ori,
Interesting tree, makes me wonder why it seems to always produce a split trunk. Beautifully silhouetted against a multicolored sky as a BG.
I like the vertical composition.

Beautiful scenery! This plant somehow reminds me "Borassus flabellifer" in India. We eat its jelly seeds as well as ripe fruit.
Perfect vertical framing with good exposure.
