Prachtig Pieter.
Ik denk dat ik mij daar ook wel kan uitleven.
zeer goed genomen compositie, goed gedacht aan de voorgrond en hiervan gebruik makend een fantastisch diepte shot. Ik vind hem erg goed.

Hi Pieter,
I never was a lover of Canada, I prefer the asian countries. But when I see your phantastic shots, so monumental and also so peaceful, I have to change my mind, that's a wonderful place. Thanks for your impressive shots, realy wonderful, greetings

Hi Pieter,
Nice shot and well done on the composition.
Do you know what makes the iredescent turquoise blue color?
It's when the glacier moves over the rocks which grinds them down to a powder. Then in the spring when there is a glacier melt, the water with the fine powder etc is dumped in the lake. The particles are so fine that they do not sink, they suspend, the light is slightly absorbed thus the iredescent turqoise blue.

Water, forest, mountains and beautiful colours in one frame. I love this place and I think you've captured it perfectly.
Photo has amazing depth and I can feel space looking at that. POV and composition could't have been better.
I like it very much.
VERY WELL DONE & TFS

Hi Pieter, very good capture with wonderful depth and accurate exposure. Again those mountain make for a spectacular backdrop. The log in the foreground does add a nice touch of colour but Id be happier if were diagonally placed in the frame. I dont know if this would have been possible. Would I have included it ...probably not. I'm not sure how to rate this one because of it. If it were better place then 8/10 for sure. Well done.

Beautiful picture of a beautiful place.
I am not sure if including the bottom part of the frame is usefull, it is catching the eye too much, pulling the viewer out of the frame and it is not the subject of the picture, maybe is the trunk was not in the frame it would be better.

Hey, man, how beautiful this is.
Excellent job, Pieter. Great and vivid colors. Maybe I could crop a part of the bottom, but it's just a preference.

Nice landscape,
Exposure, focus and DOF are good. I like the perspective of the wide angle and the low POV. The only thing that bothers me in the picture is the piece of wood on the shore. It is quite obious and distract me. You could have move left et cropped the picture. But it's still a very nice shot. TFS

Very nice Pieter,
I do prefer this to the others, a very very good shot.
Great composition, detail and exposure.
My one nit is the tourist who did make the 15km journey, and wear a bright red jacket (middle of the image at base of trees)
Still a wonderful shot Pieter, thanks for posting.

Pieter, you are showing us some beautiful scenes from Canada. I love this one, the colours of the water against the pine trees look so good. And what stately looking trees growing so straight and tall and surrounded by the mountains. Excellent - perfect, thank you.

What an amazing place, just beautiful. The trees against the snow covered mountains are incredible. I would probably have cloned the tourist in red...just my opinion. I so want to visit Canada, will probably wait until the children are a bit older. Thank you for posting this tranquil image.

Bonjour Pieter !

Super gedaan!
TFS!

Hi Pieter
Very pretty scenery. Great DOV accentuated by the log in the foreground. The colour of the water is just beautiful and contrasts well against the trees.

I love this picture, Pieter. You're right, you didn't get the mirror effect in the lake but adding the driftwood in front of the composition adds a lot of interest.

Pieter, this is lovely and well worth both the trip and the freezing conditions. I've seen this lake before in photos but yours is certainly the most impressive I've seen. I love the composition and everything else is spot on. Lovely image :)
PS Beautiful exposure, how did you deal with the contrast between the sky and ground?

A stunning image, the log in the foreground provides a sense of depth and scale.
The smaller trees to the left of the image show how massive the mountains are.
Excellent exposure.
Perhaps not as sharp as it might be, I expect you could do better now you know a few sharpening tricks.
Andy.

This is a beautiful landscape shot! The exposure is well done, colors are magnificant. The log kinda distracts some. Paul :)
