With the days getting warmer, even reptiles have started showing up. I shot this Gecko Lizard on my rooftop yesterday when it slithered into a crevice after noticing me. Had to use fill flash to get a close-up picture of its eye and here it is.

Geckos are lizards belonging to the infraorder Gekkota, found in warm climates throughout the world. They range from 1.6 to 60 cm (0.64 to 24 inches). Most geckos cannot blink, but they often lick their eyes to keep them clean and moist. They have a fixed lens within each iris that enlarges in darkness to let in more light.

Hello Ram,
Great macro image of the head of this gecko featuring its eye. The detail is super sharp and the color tones are natural. Your fill flash helped to bring out the color and detail. Well done!!

Hello Mr. Thakur,

An amazing snap of the eyes of the Gecko Lizard. It seemed to me that the eyes of the lizard was almost closed when you shot this pic or is it always like this (I am still a novice in shooting Macros)? The gleam of the flash has reflected back. Nice sharp shot!

Thanks for sharing.
