The blue-tailed bee-eater is a near passerine bird in the bee-eater family Meropidae. It breeds in southeastern Asia. It is strongly migratory, seen seasonally in much of peninsular India.

This is one of the finest images I have ever seen of the Bee-eater. It shows all the many hues found in its plumage in wonderful detail and beautiful shades or color. Not your typical pose, which I really like!!
