I got some feedback that this is a Bearded Iris - A cultivated plant, which means (oops) it falls outside the T&Cs of the site (so, sorry, won't happen again).

This image comes from a series of pictures I took at the Jardin De Bagatelle in Paris (the same place that my Bee on a Rose picture came from, and the description of the place is there also).

Lens was a 50mm+25mm extension tube.

wauw, David,
What a great colours, great composition, and yes I like it very much. It light up like a diamond,Fantastic dof. What a shot. Very good note too, very good job you did.

Great colours and very impressive shallow DOF that created very interesting picture.

This is a unique compo. I love the colours. Texture looks like fabric. Spines like a sea slug of some sort. I have never seen this thing before. I wish someone can tell us. Thanx for sharing.

This it tops in this class of macro, wich falls outside the realm of true nature like in insect detail and borders on the artistic. Open any book on marco work and you will see beauties like this. This is a common bulbous plant found in many gardens in SA. Well done!
And there I have pnet all the dimes, sorry, because I can never catch-up in this spending game. I am always owing someone a comment.

Bela foto e cores, mas a granulação tira um pouco a beleza da textura.
Talvez o uso do programa Noiseware deixaria melhor.
Mas mesmo assim, muito bom!

De bien belles couleurs, et une bonne utilisation du flou, à mon goût !

What heavenly colours, crispy yellows and grainy purples. This is what dreams look like :). Keeps the colours coming okay ... great job!
