Species: M. didyma

The Spotted Fritillary (Melitaea didyma) is a butterfly of the Nymphalidae family. It is found primarily in Southern and Central Europe.
The wingspan is 35-50 mm. The butterfly flies from April to September depending on the location.
The larvae feed on various plants, including Linaria, Plantago lanceolata, Veronica, Centaurea jacea and Digitalis purpurea.

Descrizione

Vivid close-up of this Spotted Fritillary, Luciano.
Though you have not taken the rule of more space in front of the subject seriously, the composition is attractive all the same.
The details on the wing facing the camera are just perfect.

Hello Luciano,
What a lovely close up image of the Spotted Fritillary. Remarkable detail and superb clarity gives us a great look at its wing markings and rich colors. The flower is also very beautiful with its long filaments and snow white petals. Perfect exposure and nicely framed.

Bonjour Luciano,
