[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It was exciting to see with my own eyes animals that I had previously only seen in photos. We saw large herds of Wildebeest roaming the Tarangire National Park, some had young with them.

It was actually hard to capture a lone animal without getting a partial body of another one in the frame. This is one of the only shots I managed to capture of a single animal.

I will post another image in a WS.

Hi Ron,

You have every right to be excited when you see the wild beast which most of us have seen only in pictures & NATGEO series. The details are wonderful as always with the image captured at the right time when the beast had its head turned towards you.

Warm Regards,

hello Ron,
Une magnifique composition, ce gnou est bien mis en valeur:
netteté, couleur et position dans son cadre naturel.
Bon W-E

This animal represents Africa, Ron. I too have seen it in pictures only. Was hoping to join my school delegation at a conference in South Africa this coming October and realizing my dream of visiting Kruger National Park, but things didn't go my way.
I have seen your workshop picture too and you have done well to isolate this single Wildebeest to present it as a portrait. It's a beautiful picture.

Ciao Ron, great capture of superb creature, wonderful natural colors, excellent clarity and fine details, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hello ron,
Stunning capture of a interesting specie.
Incredible details and awesome clarity.....

Hello Ron,
Beautiful presentation of this 'Gnu' in its natural habitat. Like BG and its vegetation colour. I also like its POV as well as composition. DOF and details could have been better in my test. Otherwise a beautiful picture.
Thanks for sharing,
Regards and have a nice Sunday,

Hi Ron,
What a fantastic image! Perfect composition, simplistic yet very spectacular, with eye contact and lovely pose. Good sharpness and excellent white balance as well. Majestic image. Bravo!
Kind regards from Ireland (but already on the airport bus as I'm flying home to Hungary for holiday), László

Hi Ron,

The subject is well framed. The point of view is showing the details of the Wildebeest. The good luminosity is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.
