Indigofera articulata is a sub-shrub of the Middle, East S Asia and E Africa. In ancient times it was used to prepare bklue (indigo) colour. In Israel it is very rare and endangered in the Dead Sea area.

Great shot of this interesting plant. After reading your notes I would have expected either the flower or stem to be an indigo color. Top quality image as usual!
