I was just ready with the preparation of my presentation "The Natural Wonders of Southern Ireland", which I'll perform to the Mycological Club of Miskolc during my holiday; when I realized I completely forgot this photo out. So I did not only include it, but chose it as my weekly upload to TrekNature now.
The species on the photo is the Summer Oyster (Pleurotus pulmonarius (Fr.) Quél.), very common all over the world, a fine edible, which is easy to cultivate. I already shared images of it on TN, if interested please click here, here and here. So, nothing new under the bright Irish sun (which is practically non-existing) - just a photo I like myself.
Tech talk: taken in shutter priority mode, with flash, PP included moderate cropping and very slight level adjustment + selective sharpening after re-sizing. Location: Killarney National Park.
Thanks for looking.

Fantastic shot of this oyster Mushroom in fine detail. You controlled the flash perfectly allowing us to get a great look at its gilled underside. Like a peacock with its feathers spread out.
I love mushrooms, but am not 100% sure I can positively identify most types. I therefore stick with a few that I know are edible such as the morels and the white capped field mushrooms.

Nice and interesting photo with excellent colors, contrast and fine details.
Beautiful fungi and well exposure. Against dark BG it looks nice. Good details too.
Thanks for sharing,
