|Another late season butterfly I shot a few days ago in my school lotus pond. Last week, I had posted the picture of a damaged Common Baron I had shot on my house terrace. This one sunning itself on the lotus leaves is a healthier specimen with clear markings.|
The picture was taken from a distance of about 8 feet with my compact camera; as a result, the image lacks perfect sharpness.

Looks great to me, for being 8 foot away your camera did an excellent job of capturing detail. Love the contrasting colors of the butterfly against the lush greenery. Plenty of DOF achieved and perfectly exposed.
very nice picture with good sharpness and also beautiful colours
thanks gr lou

Hi Ram,it's a pity for the wing hidden by the blurred leaf, but the pic is still good, perfect DOF for excellent details. Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano
This is a very nice and interesting specie. Lovely colors.
