|Steven's meadow saffron flowers sin great numbers after the first rains, quite often before its leaves. One finds a very large variability in the size, color, and form of the flowers. as you can see here and in the WS. The diameter of the flower is from 10 to 30 mm. In addition to israel it is found in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Tunisia, Turkey, and Iran.|

What a beautiful bloom to view this time of the year when just about all is brown, gray and black here in Ohio. This really brightens my day with its vivid colors.
