Subalpine Scene - To Peter
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Hi Trekkers,
I dedicate this photo to my Austrian friend Prof. Dr. Peter Stรถckl (peter_stoeckl), who always helped me a lot, not only as a photographer here, but in my civil life also. Thank you very much for all your advices, the well thought out critiques, and for everything else! Probably you'll like this subalpine scene on this photo, which may be somehow similar to your beautiful homeland, Austria.
The mountain, with the cloud-covered summit is Caher (AKA Cahir), the 3rd highest in Ireland, with 1001 meters height asl. Photographed near Glencar village in County Kerry, in manual exposure mode and with no PP except for minimal level adjustment.
Thanks for looking.
PP: just realized it's my 100th photo on TN shot in Ireland. โฅ |

Hi Laszlo,in effect this pic reminds a bit ths subalpine zones, not far by my village, during a summer thunderstorm. Beautiful capture, imposing perspective and great quality despite the light, the big dark clouds on the top makes the difference! Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

Hello Laszlo,
Your picture seems to invite me to visit your Great country! I like that mist/clouds around the top of the mountain. I remember also how wonderful Peter Stoeckl pictures were on TN!
So thanks for sharing to both of you and congrats for your 100th pictures :)
Cheers,
Michel
Ciao Laslo, fascinating landscape with faqntastic forest, wonderful natural colors, excellent clarity and splendid light, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio
Dear Laszlo,
I am deeply touched by your picture that gives me the warm familiar feeling of coming home from a long trip in the Alps with all kinds of weather. It surprises me with the fact that it was taken in Ireland, showing one of the highest mountains there, rising to more than 1000 meters. It is obvious that this beautiful island has become your beloved home as it is obvious from all your contributions that you are an outstanding biologist and photographer with a deep love of nature.
Deeply touched and honoured also by your very kind words of dedication.
Please apologize my late response, having been absent from my computers for a while.
All the best to you my dear friend, with kindest regards,
Peter
