Dear Trekkers,

Today, on the 20th of March 2018, I celebrate my 5-year anniversary of re-locating to the Republic of Ireland. So, this photo symbolizes my double heart, one for my homeland (Hungary) and one for the country of residence (Ireland) - I love both. The photographed plant is the European Ivy (Hedera helix), a very common evergreen climber (vine) native in most of Europe (and considered as noxious weed in some oversea territories). Although it's widespread and abundant in both my home and my residence, I share it the first time in my gallery.

Photo was shot yesterday, around sunset time, in Mitchell's Wood near Castlemartyr village (in Irish: Baíle na Martra = home of the martyrdom). Manual exposure mode, ISO and white balance. PP: slight color adjustment, after re-sizing selective re-sharpening.

Thanks for looking, have a nice day!

Hi Laszlo,a fresh pic to celebrate your 5th year on Ireland, after the last days in Hungary seen in your last post. It's a great metaphore, and a great pic too,the 2 hearts made by the edera leaves taken in a top quality way, original post! Have a good night and thanks,Luciano

Beautiful picture, Laszlo! You express your sentiments well through the analogy of two hearts -- one for your country of residence and the other for your county of origin.
Those 'veins' on the leaves make them look like hearts.

hello Laszlo

Ciao Laszlo, lovely and elegant composition, wonderful natural colors, fine details and splendid sharpness, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hello Lazlo,

Yours, Dietrich

Dear Laszlo,
wonderful posting, litterally heart-warming! I like the invitingly sunny warm colours, the attractively contrasting combination of red and green in the leaves, their precisely presented details, the very strict and clear composition - and, above all, your abilitity to combine scientifically knowledged photography of nature with artistical originality and an emotionally touching telling of personal stories.
Congratulations to you for this pretty picture in celebration of your re-location to Ireland, that loveably country that has become another beloved homeland to you.
With all my best wishes to you,

great capture, congratulations, Ori

Hello Laszlo,
Beautiful idea to show us your feeling. Simple but quiet well captured, although picture isn't telling the story, if you don't mention. Quite well managed background here, although personally I could go for totally BUTTER SMOOTH background.
Well details on those leaves. Perfect exposure too.
Congratulation for your 5th years in Republic Of Ireland 🇮🇪 and hope you are going to visit your motherland Hungary 🇭🇺 soon,
Thanks for sharing,
Regards and have a nice weekend,
