In Harmony With The Butterflies

[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Inspired by Luciano's post The Shame of Krakow. Luciano, thanks for sharing that image as we can see how vulnerable nature itself is, and how an otherwise nice idea may turn to a nightmare if it's not realized properly.
Dear Trekkers, shocked by the above post I felt the need to upload a different type of butterfly image, and I found this on my HDD from 2011. I identified the species as Heath fritillary (Melitaea athalia), but please correct me as I may be wrong. However, this species is the most common from the genera in the territory of Hungary.
Photo was taken in manual exposure mode (as per exif datas, read by Exif Pilot Pro, because I obviously don't remember it), using my macro converter lens. The butterfly was not directly touched by me, and after taking the shot they flied away, without any injuries at all.
Thanks for looking. |

Very nice picture Laszlo! Yes, some times they like to be with us!
Congratulation for the picture and moment.
Greetings
Hello Laszlo,
I think that some butterfly individuals are looking for salt some much that they are landing on human hands and body....
Thanks for sharing....
Marius.
Hello Laszlo,
Beautiful coloured butterfly. Well captured with good details. I like background too. Just don't like using hand. Read your NOTE, understand.
Thanks for sharing,
Regards and have a nice weekend,
Srikumar

Hi Laszlo. My friend Filippo Fabiano, an entomologist and much more experienced than me, suggests that the butterfly should be a "Melitaea amelia", but it is impossible to be sure because the sure answer is obtained only by examining the genitals of the butterfly. I like a lot your words in the note about my post from Krakow, i'm glad to see that were a bit useful. My best congratulation for the pic and its quality too, obviously. Have a nice week and thanks,Luciano
