[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My first butterfly of the year. The weather has turned warmer today after a long spell of rain and cold. I captured this first butterfly of the season on my school campus using my long lens 150-600mm. To my pleasant surprise, I found this lens effective for macro photography too with the added advantage of not going too close to the subject. I had to draw back 10 feet from it to get a clear focus.
Thanks for viewing!

Hi Ram,i'm happy to see your first butterly of the year,a beautiful Vanessa cardui taken in a perfect way despite the difficult location and wings position, finally butterflies are back after a winter full of birds on TN..ehehe..well done! Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

A very correct image and also very 3D by great colours and details, lights are excellent
well done RAM THAKUR

Perfectly approached and composed - excellent image, Ram.
Identification „Vanessa cardui“ might be clearly considered to be changed into „Vanessa indica“, the closely related but less widely distributed species from the Indian mountains.

With thanks, and best regards,
