[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Took me a while to research this moth. Turns out that there were other shots already posted on TN. This is a Yellow Collared Scape Moth, Cisseps fulvicollis (Hübner, 1818), of the Tiger Moth family. Adults are active by day (unusual for moths) and can often by found nectaring at goldenrod (Solidago) flowers. Also attracted to ultraviolet light. Although named "yellow collared", the collar is almost always orange in color.
Superficially similar to Ctenucha virginica, but the wings are much narrower, and smaller overall. Adults appear in May and are active until the first killing frost.

What a beautiful and interesting moth that you have well captured. Composition is nice and I like the details on antenna.
Congratulations Greg and thanks for sharing.

The Moth is sharp, with good DOF. The composition is nice.

Good shot.

Wow Greg, very nice.
I like the antennas, like feathers. And the wings are glittering a little. Very good close-up with good sharpness. TFS and bye
