Brenthis daphne

[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
A species that is becoming increasingly rare and localized, unfortunately I managed to take only this photo, it is not the best but I think it is certainly useful.
Class: Insecta
Order: Lepidoptera
Superfamily: Papilionoidea
Family: Nymphalidae
Genus: Brenthis
Species: B. daphne
The Marbled Fritillary (Brenthis daphne) is a butterfly of the Nymphalidae family. It is found in the Palearctic ecozone, for Europe the range is limited to the Southern parts of the continent.
The length of the forewings is 21-26 mm. The butterfly flies from May to August depending on the location.
The larvae probably feed on Rubus and Viola species. |

Nice catch the depth brought beauty also the contrast
Perfect moment, amazing shot TFS.
Bonjour Luciano,
