[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
After my last gastronomical post, I wanted to ask for "CAUTION" to anyone who is not sure of what he is collecting in the forest. If you like fungi, look for mycological associations or experienced fungi collectors, and learn before picking anything.

The poisonous substances in toxic mushrooms are divided in three main categories:

The protoplasmic poisons, destroying human cells and causing failures in internal organs, liver and kidneys which may lead to death. (Examples: destroying angel, deadly webcap etc.)

The neurotoxins, affecting the nervous system causing neurological symptoms like convulsions, hallucinations, coma, etc. (Examples: fly agaric, regal amanita etc.)

The gastrointestinal irritants, causing abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. (Examples: THE ONE ON THIS PHOTO: SULPHUR TUFT, fenugreek milkcap and many others.)
In addition, some generally non-toxic mushrooms contain disulfiram-like toxins that cause poisoning only if combined with alcohol. (Examples: inkcap, freckled dapperling, club foot.)

Symptoms for mushroom poisoning may occur right after consuming the mushroom, or they may appear several hours later, sometimes even several days later.

Mild symptoms include stomachache, headache, nausea and dizziness. More violent symptoms include vomiting, diarrhoea, balance disorders, disorders in nervous system and fever. When suspecting a mushroom poisoning, it is vital to seek medical care promptly.

The info comes from this site.

Hope you like!

Felipe bonjour, bel angle de prise de vue et une grande profondeur de champ. Cette famille d'Hypholomes vue d'en dessous est trés agreable a regarder. Beau travail et félicitations Didier.

the picture has left me with the feeling of 'A stairway to fungi'. the detail and DOF is fantastic, but I am left uncertain on the size and a little dizzy! Is it wood or rock they are on? I'm guessing wood, but...

I love your vertical POV in this amazing shot, Felipe!

Exceptional details, DOF, colors and lighting.

Thank you for the informative notes, as well as a great posting.

Me gusta mucho esta composicion con la serie de champiñones que suben. Los detalles son impresionantes y el verde muy bonito.
Saludos Toni

Awesome shot with incredible perspective, everything is perfect about this image. Paul :)

Hi Felipe,
WOW! this is a superb composition. The POV is really great at this angle. Just a really great shot in every way. Also a great lesson in how toxic and dangerous certain mushrooms are.

Wow, Felipe - real crowd here! I love POV and DOF. Great composition with many other interesting species in sight. I tried to photograph some fungi last weekend but with no luck - probably it's too dry.

Felipe, great pov and sharpness. Perfect details and lighting too.

The low perspective really worked here.

The mushrooms really stand out agains the green bg.

I tried a workshop.

Hi Felipe,

exceptional photo with very good perspective.
Are you sure this is Hypholoma fasciculare (Hudson 1778) Quélet 1871 =Psilocybe fascicularis (Hudson: Fries) Noordeloos ?
The colour of the gills is a bit anomalous; it should be more dark green.
Your photo might show Hypholoma capnoides (Fries 1818) Kummer 1871 = Psilocybe capnoides (Fries: Fries) Noordeloos 1995; in fact it has lighter gills and the same colour of the cap.
Another difference compared with Hypholoma fasciculare is the not bitter taste.

Ciao Paolo

Hi my dear friend Felipe ,
really this is excellent shot.
great light,sharpness and colours.
exellent work.
thanks for sharing dear Felipe .

Saeed

Hi,
1st of all immediately a plus point for the unique POV. I also like the line of the fungi and the green on the tree - if You don't know this species grows on trees You may not recognize it from this photo. An interesting scene, and an outstanding image. Congrats, TFS, László

Hello Felipe,

What a wonderful low POV. That's also my favorite cameraposition to photograph fungis. What a clarity and natural colours. You have photographed a good environment. I love that. The photo is far more valuable in my opinion. BG and DOF are excellent. Just what Gert said:"Great work, my friend" Thank you for the warning notes. There are still, despite the warnings of people to death eating dangerous mushrooms.

Have a nice day and TFS BOB
