According to a comment written yesterday by Scott Evers (www.treknature.com/members/scottevers7/), I "want to be as high as possible on the food chain". Yeah, Scott, you're right.

Unfortunatley, I can't identify the bird (its size is approximately 15 centimeters). The rain had just stopped falling down. I took my camera and went to a place here called "Lagoa Grande". (If some day you come to my town, and if you arrive by bus, Lagoa Grande is one of the first views you'll have.)

Light conditions were not good - the weather was cloudy and it was late in the afternoon. There were lots of insects there, and, chasing them... a lot of birds...

Great capture Livio,
Sorry, it's a rushed visit tonight.
Your post is well worth a big green smile.
Thanks for posting

That is one greedy bird Livio, brilliant capture and nice POV on this beauty. There is a little noise in the image but not to distracting. Very nice work.

I am with (signal-womb) one greedy bird and little noise as well...but still a good capture though...I like it...

hi Livio. I just cracked up laughing out loud when I saw your photo. It reminds me of my dog who always tries to get as many tennis balls in his mouth as possible. What a great moment. My question is: How on earth did he do that???
Thanks for sharing this hilarious shot. : )

Hello Livio,

Isn't amazing how these creatures manage to pull something like this off???

A great and opportune capture, well timed.

Thank you for this wonderful smile today, and congratulations.

Il a vraiment le bec plein. Une belle prise nature et une bonne action de l'oiseau.

Merci pour l'envoie Livio!

Hello Livio
It appears that the birds are winning and this one is certainly an overachiever. There is a bit of noise and the color is slightly off - reminds me of shooting in the everglades - but neither detracts from a brilliant capture.

Hello Livio.
That´s a beautiful natural shot. Very clear and colourful. Great composition and great POV. Well done. Thanks for posting.

olá Livios
Um é pouco, dois é bom, e quantos mais melhor !
Apesar das condições que vc apontou a foto esta muito boa, e o detalhe dos cupins no bico do passarinho fazem toda a diferença.
Parabens.

What a great hunter that you have well captured ;-) I also appreciate the complementary note… Congratulations Livio and thanks for sharing..

Livio, Another animal with a mouthful! What an interesting shot - it seems to have at least a dozen small insects there..Excellent shot my friend. Well done & Thank you.

Hi Livio,
Timing is everything, and yours was perfect here. Looks like he has at least four to five insects in that mouthful. I have to show this to my wife so she can't complain about my table manners anymore. While maybe not perfect technically, great moment captured very well! Excellent work my friend! We know whos higher on the chain here.

Hola Livio:

All your bird shot are very good. This bird is a Thrush, however I cannot ID the SP. it is feeding on termites. These insects make their nuptial flight at the offset of the rainy season and their huge numbers benefit birds that are feeding young during this time of the year.

To id the bird look in a fild guide. I have one on Venezuelan birds but it does not show any bird like the one in the picture: Yellow bill, stripped throat, light legs and dark eyes.

Saludos
