Diagnóstica description:
Amplitude eave: of 27 to 30 mm similar Sexes. Previous wing of black color with fine layer of grudges dwell-blue dark. A red patch covers the areas basal, postbasal, subaverage and average. There is one borders thin cross-sectional orange in the apex. Later wing of black color with dark blue-dwelled wide strip that covers the discal area and part with the average and postaverage area.

Habitat: Margenes of trails and ways, bordered of forest primary and secondary.

Service life.
Eggs: of green color, solitary.
Larva in fifth stage: capsule of the head of brown color with two long horns with axis of followed reddish brown color of target and so on. The thorns or branches of the horns are of reddish color. The margins of the capsule are of reddish color. Body of clear green color with grains of white color, to the sides three rows of reduced thorns of yellow color. In the eighth abdominal segment there are thorns.
Pupa: Flattened, of green color with lines to the sides that go from cremaster to the head, happening through the patches eave of brown color. The thorax is quillado, head slightly branched off.

Feeding: The adults visit humid grounds and lees of mammals.

Hospedera plant: Serjania sp.(Sapindaceae).

Distribution: Of the south from Mexico to Argentina.

Hi Ricardo, I haven't see n a Butterfly like this before. It is a little soft but it has lovely patterns and colours on its wings. Well shown, thank you.
