[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Ceiba speciosa flower, commonly known like "drunkard wood" or "samohú", original tree of central South America, from Peru to the north of Argentina. This tree reaches the 20 meters of height, and its trunk has form of bottle and up to 2 meters of diameter. The flowers are of about 10 to 12 cm of diameter; once they are polinizated form an extended fruit of 7 cm by 20 cm that hangs in vertical form and has capsule form, in its interior are numerous fibers similar to the cotton with numerous black seeds, that when it cracks the fruit are weighed by the wind.

Flor de Ceiba speciosa, comunmente conocido como "palo boracho" o "samohú", árbol originario de Sudamérica central, desde Perú hasta el norte de Argentina.
Este arbol alcanza los 20 metros de altura, y su tronco tiene forma de botella y hasta 2 metros de diámetro.
Las flores son de unos 10 a 12 cm de diámetro; una vez polinizadas forman un fruto alargado de 7 cm por 20 cm que pende en forma vertical y tiene forma de cápsula, en su interior hay numerosas fibras similares al algodón con numerosas semillas negras, que cuando se raja el fruto son levadas por el viento.

Hi Hernan, your Ceiba flower is very pretty. I love the brilliant pink colours. A little sharper would be better, I know I had to practice very hard to get my photos sharper. But it is a good composition, thank you. Well done.

A beautiful bloom. It looks like a member of the hibiscus family. The colors are wonderful, although the photo is a little soft, probably due to the resizing for posting.

Hola Hernan, revisando tu galeria encontre esta flor. Casualmente hoy publique una del mismo tipo. Curioso el nombre que tiene en la Argentina, en Bolivia se le llama Toborochi. En cuanto a la foto creo que se le podia mejorar el contraste de los colores. un saludo grande, Gabriel
