nile crocodile 2

[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
at our lodge in the evenings the cookhouse would get rid of the bones and leftovers...some large succulent pieces went over the river to where a leopard would come to feed...too far off for me to photograph..and sometimes a baboon would steal the meat anyway...
on our side of the river quite near to the 'human' area the food was left for the crocodiles...hence such a close shot of one eating...monitor lizards also dwelt along the bank in this area but came out in the daytime..more later.

Awesome teeth, Geoff. I would not want to mess with this one! Fantastic POV of this mouth wide-open. The light is a bit harsh (flash?), but the details are very sharp. Well done and TFS. : )

Impressive teeth, and the harsh light and bit of noise gives it a certain atmosphere, could be in a paper under the "maneater kills three in one night" heading ;-)

geof,
Excellent clarity, sharpness & focusing makes this an OUTSTANDING register.
I also love its well controlled contrasts on the subject, inspite of the difficulty, that the BG is of the similar colour as of the crocodile.
Well done. Congratulations.
Regards, Mario.
