[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
That's curious a Romanian fungus called Bulgaria...

Name: Bulgaria inquinans

These are quite strange looking fungi. Growing not larger than 4 cm, in bunches on dead oak or beech trees, first having a sphaerical look, then like a reversed cone, with the top surface shiny brown and the sides porous ochre. The older individuals are becoming black overall.
The flesh has a rubery consistence and a translucid look.

I noticed these mushrooms only this year, amid the fact that they were growing probably there many years ago.
It's me that I had to pay more attention to the small things while walking in the wilderness. There are beautifull things down there that I overlooked for such a long time!

Hi Petru,
That is some very interesting looking fungi. They almost look like chocolate drops candy. Exposure looks great to me. Well saturated colors and fine detail. They look to be very small in scale.

great shot, good colours!

Hi Petru!
They look kind of like the caps of the acorn to me. A very interesting fungi!
I think visiting TN has caused me to keep my eyes open wider than ever... Always watching for that next interesting shot. Hoping to do it a justice worth sharing...;-)
And, you have succeeded wonderfully here with an interesting and well composed shot!
So, do they also grow in Bulgaria? Can I find them in downtown Sofia?
Very nice!
Thank you Petru!

Are there really so many different forms of fungi? I have largely overlooked them up to now, shall look closer! Good capture of these strangely-shaped fungi!
