Nature at its Best!!

Well nature at its best for the surfers!

This photo was taken from my front room yesterday at 6.40pm. We had quite a storm all day, and the waves really built up and the surfers came out in droves!

Murrays Bay is usually quite a protected beach from waves like these, so this was unusual.

We live over the road from the beach but my lens (Tamron 28-300) makes it look a lot closer.

The colour of the water was duller than this, but still quite yellow. I have lightened it to make it easier to see. There was a lot of salt spray and rain coming down at the time, and this is the sharpest I could manage.

Enjoy!

Wow, what a view Janice! Great place to live! My todays photo was also taken from our front room :-) I like power of ocean on your picture, very dynamic and dangerous, yet beautifull. I love smell of sea after storm! What is this colorfull dot in water? Looks like bird or something.

I cannot believe this is the view from your home! Amazing, just amazing. I love the sea (well even a river will do!), fancy a house swap? *LOL*
Your image looks quite noisy, but I don't care! You get my points for having this view!!
Thank you for sharing it with us .........

I think you have an amazing view from your front room, Janice, and if I could, I would sit staring at it for days.....

Although the shot is a bit noisy, it is a wonderful example of the life in Murrays Bay during a storm.

Thank you for sharing it with us.

Janice, I can almost hear the waves, the sea.

I like the picture.

And what a view. This must be a privilege to live in such place.

Well done.

Lucky you for having such a beauty at a short reach, I can smell the salty aroma, bravo!!!

You know I actually surfed a bit in my younger days Janice..Brings back a few memories..Like the time I almost drowned in the surf! ;-) Thank You!

Hi Janice,
I love your shot and am very envious of your view. I might be tempted to kill for a view that nice. I love the ocean and beach, but live about 900 miles from the closest one. IIt is amazing to see nature whip up a big storm and big surf. Very dramatic.
