[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Two days walk up the Paro Chuu from the nearest road I found a group of fruiting trees. There were gobs of birds around, Laughingthrushes, Magpies, Redstarts, Tits and others. This female Hodgson's Redstart however offered me several good photo opportunities by perching nicely atop a clump of berries. It was evening, the sun already behind the valley walls, I was hand holding so forced to use a high ISO. I was able to remove most of the graniness in photoshop, however it got replaced here when it was compressed for the web.

Let me know what you think.

Together with your details, I think you did well on this one. Good on details and sharpness. Thanks for sharing, reina

Very lovely photo. Yes there is some noise in the bird. It's disappointing when our photos don't look their best once posted. For the most part I think the photos look pretty accurate on TN. Even so it is a good composition and nice background.

What a beautiful scene, David. The bird stands out very well against the pretty BG. Very sharp details and great composition. Well done and TFS. : )

Great capture with good detail and colour.
Thanks for posting!

Very cute. Very good POV and DOF. I would crop out the tow leaves on the left and reduce the background noise with Neat Image or similar software.

Hi David,

Nice Picture, good compostion and color. I like the catch light in the birds eye.

This is an absolutely great shot. Although I don't see the focal length on the exif, my guess is that the 1.3 correction factor has been very helpful here. The grain is not bothering me and in fact I am a grain-lover (see my website: http://califoto.my-expressions.com/archives/2186_1665899495/82143)
One last request: could you post more shots from Bhutan? A friend of mine is planning a trip there and would love to see some shots.
Keep up the good work.
