[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a large dominant male of a small buffalo herd, photographed in the north west side of Kenai peninsula in September 2003, Alaska. As he was likely getting old, younger bulls were constantly treying their luck. The tail & butt are from a female flirting which combined with the young bull in waiting on the background makes an interesting composition.
It was shot in bad light and the Fuji film oversaturated the grass which I reduced in Photoshop. Sometimes FujiFilm just makes up too much color saturation but thats exactly why I love them sometimes ...

Excellent work! The composition in superb and the colours and details very very good, I love it. Thanks Radu.

I love the composition! And the expression on the big bull's face is comical! Very sharp, good DOF! Good work! -laurita

Radu, Sharp, crisp shot with that great all-important eye detail well seen! It looks as if he sees you & that he's actually bellowing a warning sound your way? Great shot!

I think he is sighing to the fact that he is going to have another youngster with mere energy than him to chase away.

I like the composition a lot and the image is clear wit excellent detail.

Thanks for posting

Very good portrait, but the photo is too small, and the other buffalo's butt is disturbing...
