This is my 100th post and I would like to dedicate it to you... My Friends!

Friendship isn't always easily described. The Eskimos, they say, have a hundred different words for snow. Unfortunately, the English language isn't quite as innovative, though it has vast opportunities to differentiate meaning. Certainly, Love is one of those opportunities. And so, too, is Friendship.

Instead of different words, however, we're stuck with simple adjectives. Close friend, Best friend, Childhood friend, Intimate friend, trusted friend, Beloved friend. But whether you use adjectives or different words, few could deny the nearly infinite meaning in such a simple word.

Friends are special people. We can't pick our family, and we're sorely limited in the number of them at any rate. Society and mores (and often our own conscience) dictate we select a single mate. But our friends can be as diverse and infinite as the adjectives we choose. Our friends, in a very real sense, reflect the choices we make in life.

I would like to believe that the friends I have made here on TN share the same passion for nature conservation that I do. The WWF has just released it’s “Living Planet Report” to inform us on the human footprint we leave behind on our “Living Planet”. If you have the time take a look it’s some interesting reading at www.panda.org. Especially when you find out that living species have declined by 40% in number from 1970 and we are using 70% more natural resources.

Anyway… Thank you my friends for making these lovely contributions to the site that helps me learn about nature and photography and hopefully creates an awareness in those that did not have it.

This morning, me to see in television that that to be able to make these speedy animals to feed, the images to be impressive, sincerely me to feel fear of them and me to think of he being always but far possible of them mainly when to be hungry, however there is a sentence that to say: not alone of bread the man lives and here in this image you show us clearly a form of feeding different. All fondness and sweetness in this image, thank you to share it with us, it is charming, my day I am glad it a lot, I will add it to my favorite ones. Cordial greetings. *Ninfa Urania*

Hi Gerhard!

The cubs are very cute. You caught a very memorable moment. Very nice composition and just enough DOF. Regards!

This photo definitely has the "Awwwww" factor! Such cute little guys. Your note is thought provoking, I feel all of you posting such lovely shots of nature can only serve to help people appreciate that there is SO much to lose!
Excellent all around.

Hi Gerhard. I really appreciate your effort to raise the awareness for endangered species and conservationism. Here in Europe we are so far from Nature. That's why I love to come on holiday to Africa.
Beautiful picture, deserves to have 50 points.

Very nice picture of a beutiful cuple of friend!

Incredible capture, Gerhard! Where was it taken? Very meaningful note too.
