During summer a great number of jelly fish are swept to the shore. I found this newcomer lying on it's back basking in the strong summer sun.

Hola Yohanan: sincerely, when seeing this image in small, the first thing that makes me think is in a space ship that to have to land obligatory on a beach. Interesting contrast of the sand and I like the effect of the shade. Saludos Cordiales. *Ninfa Urania*

We are not alone! Looks like and upturned space ship! Good shot. The shadow is perfect and I particularly like the grey contrast of the sand.

Good photo, although I don't think the jellyfish would call it basking. I think it's the last sunbathing this one wilol do. Good work.

Yohanan, I think Pauls definitely got this one fiqured out! ;-)) All the jelly done went out of this jellyfish!! Thanx for posting!

I like the simple and striking compositions like this. Just the sand and the belated jellyfish. The shadow creates an nice effect. Well done, Yohanan.

This is a very curious shot, the gradient shadows are not very common... the only thing I would complain about is that I would like to see closer :-D
Good one.

Excellent contrast - hot sand and creature build in 98 or so percent from water. Great composition and real sci-fi look. Points tomorrow.
