[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Unfortunatly I do not know the name of this dragon fly, so if someone could help I will add a suitable note.
I took this picture in the Tavor wadi near the Kinerret in an offroad trip, while all were resting and drinking coffee with cookies I was chasing this red flying thing.
This dragonfly is my first and last. I don't have any luck with them and I don't see them a lot.
I posted this picture in TE, but it more suits here so I did some corrections and here it is, hope you will enjoy.

Let's name it "Draggy, the red one". Ha ha ha. :)
Nice pic, red insect with green background, just perfect to make it stand out, with the right amount of yellow in the stem. Interesting position of the wings

Great colors Elroyie
Very nice dragonfly.
Good sharpness and details.
Great job

Elroyie, I'd be very proud of that photo, it's excellent. Compposition, colour and detail are top notch. Great stuff.

As for the ID, my best guess is a male Crocothemis erytrhraea - Scarlet Darter.

I could be wrong.

I would go with Pauls ID of this one.Very nice view crisp and well coloured on this old rose stem.
I think you may of been able to squeeze the far wing in by loosing some of the speed for a bit better F.stop which would of given a bit more DOF
