But, you must have been very far to get this one.

Interesting post Corrina. I'm guessing you took this through glass, I'm wondering why it would be eating a baby bird in captivity. The picture is well seen and the composition is good. On the downside it is overexposed, with some noise and you can post up too 800 pixels here so this is a little small.
What you have here is a scops owl for more info have a look at this one posted earlier.
the young bird will be a day old male chicken which are all killed on hatching so the females can lay eggs for you.they do not go to waste as they are perfect feed for such captive animals and are used by zoo's and falconers etc.
a shame about the glass spoiling the image because it is well observed in the feeding habits of an owl. TFS
