|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|this greater spotted woodpecker has been coming into our garden for weeks now. Trough the kitchen window, I have a perfect view to photograph it, without scaring off the bird. My camera is almost every weekend ready on his tripod to take pictures of this bird (and others). And today, he came at about 3 meters from my window...|

A beautiful woodpecker! I love the red undertail coverts. The focus is a bit soft -- did you remember to sharpen the image after resizing? Great pose, lovely soft colors in the background. Needs some work with levels to increase the contrast -- that would help to sharpen it up a bit too. I would do a workshop for you, but you seem to have that option turned off.
it a nice picture, with a small PP work it would be a very good one.
I agree with Shelley, it's lack of contrast and it's soft.
But the POV and pose are good. Nice colours too.

Beautiful bird Marcel!
I think the soft focus kind of gives this one an artistic appeal! IMO...;-)
Hi Marcell, it is a beautiful bird, but I agree with the others in that it needs more contrast and sharpening. I did do a workshop for you.
Take a slower time next time he comes and visits and focus on the bird, and take lots of photos.
