Sand Cat (Felis margarita). Small catwith soft, sandy- yellow fur with indistinct ,dark spots and black stripes on forelegs. The soles of the feet are covered with dense, stiff hairs, that prevent sinking in the sand.In Israel itwas found on sands in the Arava Valley. It is nocturnal. When frightened it crouches low on the ground, and may be approached and even picked up by hand.It feeds on rodents, birds, reptiles and insects. Its continued existence in Israel doubrful due to the fact thet its habitat is being destroyed and exploited for agriculture.

Eyal, this is even more cute than our African Wildcat (Felis Lybica). I do appreciate that you responded to my request. Thank you for the effort. The POV is makes this an exceptional capture. Thanks for sharing. If you are interested I posted some African wild cats here and here. Now all we need is a swamp cat and a golden cat then we have all the lesser cats here on TN.

Very nice view the 400zoom gives a very personal view. The slide looks clean and sharp in the face,it almost looks like a kitten with the large ears and small face.

Very intense looking eyes. I think I've seen this before. Is this also called Pallas cat? Do they get aggressive when you pick them up or do they just freeze with fright? Its certainly very cute.
Excellent photograph and note. Thank you.

Spectacular Eyal!
Wonderful colours and softness and it looks so very cute and it's even posing very nice for you (and us...)

Wow, the colours are great in this shot. Love the focus on only the cats face. Those photos are harder to get with the more timid cats that I come across.

nice, very nice. very good capture. thanx

Oh this is just beautiful. I showed it to my daughters and they loved it. The POV and the light are just perfect. You have lost nothing in converting this to digital, an excellent image. The note is instructive also. TFS.

Very beautiful capture. With such a shot, this time the overexposed areas are forgiven. I dont know how far were you, but he was watching with a lot of attention. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Eyal!

This is a very cute photo. I like the way the cat stares. The details on the face are very sharp and the light from behind complements it. Nicely composed! Thanks for sharing! Regards!

Hi Eyal
This is a beautiful kitty. I have only once before seen a picture. I love felines, especially the smaller ones, and they are never easy to nail.
I just read Gerhard's note - we nead the ocelot too. And the cloud leopard, a bit bigger.

great capturee of this cute cat. sad to here he might be endangered hope it can make it.

I just took a look at your portfolio, here, and I think it is just fantastic. I really love your pictures. To be a nature's photograph is one of my dream. The one you took her is really interesting, the expression of the cat is particular. The colors are great, too.
Right now, I'm an amateur working hard on my passion. I appreciate the people here, for their kindness to give some tips and tricks to us. It helps a lot, and it is funny to hear from you all on photos.
And I love this site! Congradulations for your work. Nadine
