I love this beautiful little bug.
So sharp and clear and pretty colours, excellent shot. I also had those sweet beetles in my garden this summer, but my shot's are not so good, the focus went wrong because of the glance of this beetle. Congratulations to this wondeful one, bye

This is a real little beauty. Amazing colours (allmost like the rainbow), excellent sharpness/dof with lots of details in the colourful shield, the background is well blurred to set the bug off very nicely and the light is perfect. Personally I would prefer a little more space in front of the bug.

Hi Jaap,
What an amazing little creature. It really looks like metal, it even looks as if it has a couple of dents! Excellent detail and colour, exposure perfect as always. I do feel the DOF is a little shallow on this one as the legs are out of focus.

Goedenmorgen Jaap,
U noemt dit al uw oude camera, maar ik denk bij goede instelling er veel mee tedoen valt, natuurlijk het is geen D/R zoals uw 350D.
De kleuren glinsteren, de pose hoe u deze genomen heeft is zeer mooi, ook hoe u deze geplaatst heeft op de foto. DOF en POF zijn inderdaad van mooi kwaliteit.

very pretty shot with excellent details.
Colours may be too much saturated, as there is a strong blue and magenta tint on the BG that looks a bit unnatural.
Very difficult to picture a tiny round shiny beetle.
So this picture is very well done.
And well composed, too.

Amazing and superb shot of this colourful metallic bug. Thank you for this lovely and detailed close-up. Great sharpness on the body and head. The combination of the different metallic colours is awesome and perfect match. It is really vibrant and stunning. It looks as if this beetle has been buffed for the occasion. I love the purple eyes and purple antennas. An excellent presentation. I collect brooches and would love to have one similar to this. I have a ladybird brooch, but a replica of this colourful beetle will really add splendour to my collection. Thanks for sharing.
