Today being saturday, I had been to "OMKAR" hills and captured this butterfly which i think is "CrimsonTip", which might be related to "OrangeTip" of Pierinae subfamily, somebody please help me with other details!!

As it was 8.30 in the morning , i was little lucky with the light but with BG what to say!!!. This fella always sits at the ground level, so this BG!!!.

Thanks in advance for visiting and your critiques!!!

Wow Goutham
You sure made up with this posting.
Sorry, as far as the ID is concerned. The closest I could get is what you already have.
Family: Pieridae
Subfamily: Pierinae
Genus: Colotis
I think you are correct in suspecting it to be a Crimson tip - Colotis danae annae (some sources have it Scarlet tip - Colotis danae danae).
You do not need to be overly concerned about your BG. Although it does show a bit of grass & other vegetation it is mostly neutral and non-disturbing. The brilliant colour of the butterfly does enough to ensure the eye stay focused on the subject. The details are nice and sharp and the exposure is great.
Good work and TFS.

this is a good one Goutham,
it has a nice composition, the pov is good and the colours are nice, and the light is very nice. very good job.

Hello Goutham,
This is a very nice capture.
Excellent colours and exposure, very good composition.
It stands out well against the dark background.
It does look like a relative of the Orange tip.
A great shot.

Hi Goutham,

Your efforts have padi off. This pic is impressive. It looks as good in the pic as it does with the naked eys.

TFS, Kiran.

Delightful, Goutham.
BG is perfect, and so is the butterfly.
Perfect exposure. Could not be done better.
It seems to pay to get up early.
Excellent, perfectly describing
and charming contribution.
Thanks, and best regards,

I wish I had the shance that you have to see and take pictures of all the batterflies that you have taken Goutham.
This one is beautifull and the shot very nice and sharp.
Good POV and BG

Striking species and well taken!

A truly remarkable capture, Goutham. Don't under-rate your BG; it actually adds punch to the sharp and crisp colours of the butterfly.

Never saw this specie.
Simply one of the best I've ever saw!
Everytning is perfect!
Just keep on going and TFS!

Excellent post with this amazingly coloured butterfly. He's a beauty.
Background is fine in this case. Exposure of the butterfly is well handled. Composition is good but I feel you could have moved it off-centre just a bit. Good sharp details. Well done, a very interesting post.
