EURASIAN LYNX
(lynx lynx)

The Eurasian lynx is a large cat with a powerful body, short, sturdy legs, and a very short tail. It has a large head with side whiskers and large tufted ears. Its coat is yellowish-brown fading to white on its undersides, and may be spotted with dark brown. The Eurasian lynx may be found in the pine forests and thick scrub south of the arctic in Europe and Asia, where it hunts by night, from the ground, and seeks rodents, birds, fish, small deer, goats, and sheep.

Neat photo, Andrea. The lighting is great but I thought he was missing an eye! Too bad the branch was in the way.

Hi Andrea, nice composed image of this lynx with good detail. It is a shame that the branch got in the way of his other eye but that's life. Good shot and TFS.
