[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This common red squirrel was gobbling spring blossoms when I discovered him. He chittered and arched his tail at me constantly, which is squirrel language for: I AM VERY ANNOYED!!!
Squirrel facts and trivia.
After reducing the size of this shot in Paint Shop Pro 9, the only editing I did was to use unsharp mask - radius 5, strength 40, clipping 5.
I particularly like the focal depth of this shot, with both the foreground and background out of focus, giving a mystical quality to the light through the blossoms. In fact, I didn't even know the squirrel was in the tree at first, I was photographing the beautiful way the light came in through the blossoms. |
