Sandhill Cranes

[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I had just arrived to one of my favorite photo locations and was sitting along the bank of this waterway in the back section of the Carty Unit of the Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge when this flock of Sandhill Cranes landed and began to feed. In the foreground just in front of the Sandhills there is a Great Blue Heron standing in the water. I had just enough time to set up my tripod and take one image before they were spooked by a Coyote and flew off. |

Hello Steven,
A beautiful landscape with wildlife!
I like the composition, and the way you show the herons in their natural habitat...
