[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Whilst canoeing down the Sok River near Khao Sok National Park our guide found this beautiful golden spider casually climbing over the riverside vegetation.

I have no idea what it is, and whilst its not the greatest shot, you need to remember that I was in a canoe on a flowing river and only had time for two snaps, so Iím happy with the result.

If anyone can enlighten me to its identification, even genus or family, I appreciate it. The body length was about 70mm.

Thanks for looking.

Excellent colours and very good detail considering the circumstances. Sorry I can't help with the ID.

Well done

Hello Chris,
The spider looks great. It's very hairy and the colours are quite striking. You catched him nicely showing some good details. I'm just not sure about the frame. It's a little distracting.
Overall, very interesting post!
WELL DONE!

Hello Chris,

Fantastic shot of this spider!!! The light is great, the colour, natural. The pov is good even if you were canoing... Body length of 70!!! Brrrr!!! A real nightmare for me ;-)

Ciao!

Michel

Hi Chris
You don't have to explain yourself about the situation you were in when you took the shot,or its quality; it's just spot on. It would grace any monitor.
Well done and best regards
Mark

Hello Chris,
This images remembrs me when I was 12 years old and hung myself on a wood beam of a shed to make gymnastics; when I raised the head the height of my hands, to 5 cm was one of same color and similar, and...the scare will already imagine.
Very good image in this conditions, nice and intense colours.
regards
