Today I went for a short hike at 'Archemerberg'. This hill structure is part of the 'Sallandse Heuvelrug' which has been created by the second last ice age (Saale) During the last ice age (Weichsel) about 50.000 years ago white sand was deposited by wind. At the highest point of the hill (80 meters) you have a beautiful 360 degrees view over Twente and Salland.

Hi Niek,
Good detail, colours and sharpness. exposure and lighting are good. Good POV and composition.

Thanks for posting, have a great week.

that landscape looks good in the clear and sharp light under a bright blue sky. Very sharp details, beautiful strong contrasts of light and shadow. I like the the open space with a large area given to the bright sky.

I would never have thought you enjoy these southern highland light conditions in the Netherlands. You have been very lucky with the weather that day. Vienna and the eastern alpine region have been soaked with cold rain and even snow in some higher valleys of the country the same day.

Thanks, and best regards,

Very nice capture Neik, love the puffy white clouds and the strange wonderful trees in this scene, well done.

Yes there was a beautiful sky today :-)
Good tree silhouettes agains that sky.
What exactly was the purpose of the nd filter here ? Is this a gradient filter ?

Hi Niek,

Your new camera seems to like clouds. Very nice. Your nd filter seems a little dark. I had a 1 stop one and was still getting burnout, so I just got a 2 stop one which was recommended by the best photo shop in Portland. I haven't used it yet. I would like to see a little more definition in the foilage...it looks dark on my monitor. I am having more trouble it seems uploading images to TN with adequate/accurate saturation and contrast. I don't remember it being so difficult. These tall skinny trees with foilage just at the tops are interesting.

Hi Niek,
Beautiful landscape! Detail looks excellent. Bautiful blue sky looks awesome. Detail, DOF, and clarity are superb.

glad to see you have found and nd filter... I have one, but mine is too weak, still looking for another one...

I really like the composition and the exposure and sharpness is spot on.

Bonjour Niek
Belle prise de vue de beau paysage avec ce beau ciel et ses belles couleurs. Félicitations pour la belle lumière et les détails bien réalisés.

Merci et au revoir....JP

Hello Niek,
From the thumbnail I found myself in the tropics for a while...
Not palm trees then, but still very nice!
A very pleasant landscape captured with good details, all topped by this gorgeous sky...
Looks like a very nice place to unwind...

Very soothing and pleasant landscape. Niek.

Hi Niek
Great landscape shot. Great colours, details, sharpnes, DOF, POV, sky and composition.
Well done

Hi Niek, Sorry I missed this photo, Not sure how but I did, great work, wonderful colors BG, POV Excllent details, very crisp, TFS Kyle

Really nice picture! One thing I've always loved about the sky is how many different shades of blue you can see, even during the middle of the day. In this shot, you've captured the really dark blues (at the top of the picture) and some of the very pale blues (near the horizon). I do think that some of the trees are a bit too dark in places, but at the same time that looks nice because it offers great contrast against the white clouds.
