I'm not sure, I don't like snake, if this viper is a Asp Viper ( vipera aspis) or other. Somebody can help me?

I don't like snakes either so I have no idea... however I do really like this photo! A lovely bit of old wood and the snake does make it. Jx

If it was in the UK, I woudl be worried, it does not match the markings of the Adder (also known as a viper). See here

But the shot is beautiful, snakes as a whole are to be admired, just don't get bitten! (I did once and spent 3 days in hospital).

I really like the way this one is presented over the tree (it was the tree truck that orgianlly caught my attention).
